Giants Waive Veteran CB William Gay

Veteran CB William Gay announced on Instagram that he has been waived by the New York Giants on Sunday.

Gay, 33, is a former fifth-round pick of the Steelers back in 2007. He played the first five years of his NFL career in Pittsburgh before joining the Cardinals for the 2012 season.

Gay returned to the Steelers a year later and spent another five years with the team before Pittsburgh released him this past March.

In 2017, Gay appeared in all 16 games for the Steelers and recorded 19 tackles, one interception, two forced fumbles and three pass defenses.
