Giants Will Allow Osi Umenyiora To Seek Trade

ESPN’s Sal Paolantonio reports that the New York Giants have given DE Osi Umenyiora permission to seek a trade.

New York is reported to be seeking a first-round pick in return for Umenyiora who will also require a new contract following the deal itself. Umenyiora has said that he is looking to make a top-five salary for a defense end which will end up being a very costly deal for whoever decides to trade for him.

ESPN’s John Clayton reported that the Umenyiora would be interested in joining the Seattle Seahawks but it remains to been whether or not they’re willing to part with a first-round pick and hand him a huge contract.
