Giants Worked Out 5 WRs Including Philly Brown

Field Yates of ESPN reports that the Giants brought in five free agents receivers for workouts on Wednesday including Philly Brown, Demarcus Ayers, Kalif Raymond, Jeremy Ross and Canaan Severin.

This should come as no surprise, considering that the Giants lost three(!) receivers for the season on Sunday including Odell Beckham Jr, Brandon Marshall, and Dwayne Harris.

Beyond that Sterling Shepard is also dealing with an injury of his own, so New York is looking at completely revamping their receiving corps in the coming weeks.

Brown, 25, originally signed on with the Panthers as an undrafted free agent out of Ohio State back in May of 2014. Carolina declined to tender Brown an offer as a restricted free agent this offseason.

The Bills signed Brown to a one-year deal back in March but was waived coming out of the preseason. Buffalo recently re-signed Brown only to cut him loose last week.

In 2016, Browns appeared in all 16 games for the Panthers and recorded 27 receptions for 276 yards receiving 10.2 (YPC) and scored one touchdown.
