Giants Worked Out 14 Players Including Veteran G Donald Thomas

Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post reports that the Giants brought in tried out 14 players including veteran G Donald Thomas.

The list of players who worked out for New York includes: OT Jake Rodgers, G Jared Smith, LB Kevin Snyder, G Anthony Steen, RB Robert Turbin, QB Dustin Vaughan, WR Ben Edwards, TE Connor Hamlett, DL Toby Johnson, LB Jeff Luc, C Shane McDermott, LB Mike Mohamed, and DB Floyd Raven.

Thomas, 30, is a former sixth-round pick of the Dolphins back in 2008. He spent two years in Miami before he was cut at the start of the 2010 season.

After that, Thomas had brief stints with the Lions and Patriots before signing a four-year, $14 million contract that included a $1 million signing bonus with the Colts in March of 2013.

However, the Colts elected to release him at the start of the season, even though he had two years remaining on the deal.

Thomas hasn’t appeared in an NFL game since the 2013 season, and that year he was limited to playing in just two games.
