Kimberly Jones is reporting that the Giants believe WR Odell Beckham Jr has a broken fibula, but they currently aren’t sure if there is any ligament damage. Jones adds that Beckham Jr will undergo an  MRI soon to determine the severity of the injury.

  • Ian Rapoport adds that Beckham is likely headed to injured reserve following this injury.

Jordan Raanan reports that Odell Beckham is headed for surgery after suffering a left leg injury during Sunday’s game.

Based on video of the play, David Chao believes this could be a season-ending ankle injury for Beckham. According to Chao, it appears as though Beckham has a syndesmotic ligament tear and likely fibula fracture.

Giants WR Odell Beckham Jr went down with what appeared to be a left ankle injury during the fourth quarter of Sunday’s game and was taken off on a cart.

Beckham missed time earlier in the year with an ankle injury, but this injury looked really bad and will likely cost him even more time.

The Giants also lost Brandon Marshall and Sterling Shepard to injury on Sunday, so you can expect New York to bring in some free agent help in the coming days.

Beckham, 24, was taken with the No. 12 overall pick by the Giants back in 2014. He’s currently in the final year of his four-year, $10,406,198 contract and stands to make a base salary of $1,839,02 for the 2017 season.

The fifth-year option will run the Giants $8,459,000, but is guaranteed only for injury and won’t prevent them from working on a long-term extension over the next year.

Entering today’s game, Beckham had appeared in three games and caught 20 passes for 205 yards receiving and two touchdowns.

We’ll have more regarding Beckham’s injury as the news is available.
