Greg Jennings’ Asking Price Down To $12 Million Per Season?

Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk reports that “scuttlebutt in league circles” is that impending free agent WR Greg Jennings is targeting a deal that would pay him $12 million per year.

Previous reports indicated that Jennings could be looking for as much as $14 million annually in his next contract, which would have put him in the same company as Calvin Johnson and Larry Fitzgerald.

There’s been some speculation that the Packers could use their franchise tag on Jennings in the next few weeks, but Jason La Canfora reports that league sources have informed him that this  is “highly unlikely.”

The Colts, Dolphins and Vikings have all been mentioned as potential landing spots for Jennings. We have Greg listed as the No. 7 best available players in our Top 50 Free Agents list.
