Greg Jennings To Wait Until Season Ends For Contract Negotiations

NFL Insider Adam Schefter reports that the Packers and WR Greg Jennings will not discuss a contract extension until after the season.

Jennings, who is in the final year of his contract with the Packers, does not want the negotiations to be a distraction to the team. The two sides have reported discussed an extension in the past few months, but no progress was ultimately made.

The soon-to-be 29 year old receiver is arguably the Packers’ best offensive weapon and is expected to be targeting a deal similar to Vincent Jackson’s recent contract. If things turn ugly, the Packers could even let him walk, considering their depth at the position.

We have Jennings listed as the No. 3 best available free agent in our Top 50 Free Agents list.
