Hakeem Nicks Expected To Play Wednesday

Giants wide receiver Hakeem Nicks was held out of practice for the second straight day on Monday due to soreness in his surgically-repaired right foot. Head coach Tom Coughlin does believe that Nicks will play in the teams season opener Wednesday night against the Cowboys, per Ralph Vacchiano.

Nicks did get some side work in with Eli Manning, but he wasn’t in pads. The Giants training staff held Nicks out of practice to ensure that there’s no soreness in the receivers foot. Nicks has also insisted that he will be ready to play Wednesday night.
