Jets Hosting DL Jack Crawford For A Visit

Brian Costello is reporting that the Jets are bringing free agent DL Jack Crawford for a visit.

The Steelers recently met with Crawford, which was his first reported visit since free agency opened four weeks ago, but they elected to sign DE Ricardo Mathews to a contract instead.

Crawford, 27, is a former fifth-round pick of the Raiders back in 2012. He spent just two years in Oakland before he was waived at the start of the 2014 season.

The Cowboys later signed him to a contract and he’s now testing the open market as an unrestricted free agent.

In 2015, Crawford appeared in all 16 games for the Cowboys and recorded 21 tackles and four sacks. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 119 interior defensive lineman out of 123 qualifying players.
