“Interim” Tag Removed From OC Jim Caldwell’s Title

Ravens head coach Jon Harbaugh announced Monday that the “interim” tag from offensive coordinator Jim Caldwell’s job title has been removed which means that he will be back with team in 2013, per Jamison Hensley.

Harbaugh also announced Monday that the Ravens have hired former Eagles defensive coordinator/offensive line coach Juan Castillo as the team’s running game coordinator.

Caldwell replaced Cam Cameron mid-way through the season, which was undoubtedly a bold move, but what the Ravens have accomplished since has been nothing short of amazing. Caldwell had never called plays before being promoted, but he clearly has a better feel for the team’s offense as they have managed to go into Denver and New England in back-to-back weeks and will now be playing for a title.
