Reggie Bush Too Expensive For The Lions?

Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press writes that signing soon-to-be free agent RB Reggie Bush could be too expensive for the Lions this offseason.

Birkett points to the fact that the Lions are only roughly $2 million under the projected 2013 cap and have a staggering 23 unrestricted free agents to address this offseason.

SI.com’s Peter King mentioned that Bush would be a “perfect fit” for the Lions.

Bush, 27, is coming off of his best seasons in the NFL. He rushed for 986 yards on 227 carries and caught 35 passes for 292 yards. Bush’s ability to be effective in the passing game is the main reasons the Lions have been tossed out as potential landing spot for Bush, but it will ultimately come down to his asking price. The Bengals have also been mentioned as a speculative option for Bush.

We have Bush listed as the No. 46 best available player in our Top 50 Free Agents list
