Jaguars Activate OL Josh Wells From IR, Waive TE Niles Paul

The Jacksonville Jaguars announced that they’ve activated OL Josh Wells from injured reserve list on Friday and waived TE Niles Paul.

  • The Jaguars also promoted DE Lyndon Johnson to their active roster and placed OL Josh Walker on injured reserve.

The Jaguars designated Wells to return a few weeks ago.

Wells, 27, wound up going undrafted out of James Madison back in May of 2014 before signing a three-year, $1.53 million contract with the Jaguars.

The Jaguars picked up Wells’ option for the 2018 season this past February. He’s in line to be an unrestricted free agent in 2019.

In 2018, Well has appeared in five games for the Jaguars before he was placed on injured reserve last month.
