Jaguars Among Several Teams Interested In 49ers Free Agent LB Dan Skuta

Adam Caplan of ESPN reports that there are several teams interested in 49ers free agent LB Dan Skuta and are willing to give him an expanded role next year.

  • Caplan specifically mentions that the Jaguars are a team to keep an eye on for Skuta.
  • Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald previously mentioned that the Dolphins could pursue Skuta in free agency.

Skuta, 28, originally signed on with the Bengals as an undrafted free agent out of Grand Valley State back in 2009.

He spent the first five years of his career in Cincinnati before he joined the 49ers as an unrestricted free agent in 2013.

Last year, Skuta appeared in 14 games and recorded 33 tackles, five sacks, three forced fumbles and a pass defense. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 29 outside linebacker out of 46 qualifying players.
