Jaguars, Blackmon Agree to Terms

The Justin Blackmon holdout is finally over! The Jaguars and the 2012 number five overall pick agree to terms on a four-year contract per Vito Stellino of the Floriad Times-Union.

Stellino tweets, “Justin Blackmon agreed to terms and will probably sign contract tomorrow to end his holdout.”

This is huge news for Jacksonville, as they didn’t allow Blackmon’s holdout drag out longer into camp. The Jaguars are finally able to get their rookie wideout into camp and get reps in with second year quarterback Blaine Gabbert. Blackmon won’t be ready for Jacksonville’s preseason opener on Friday. Now, the Jaguars front office can focus on overcoming another giant hurdle, ending Maurice Jones-Drew holdout.
