Jaguars Cut RB Joe Banyard

Tom Pelissero reports that the Jaguars have cut RB Joe Banyard on Sunday to make room for their new additions.

Banyard, 26, originally signed on with the Jaguars as an undrafted free agent out of UTEP back in 2012. He lasted just a month in Jacksonville before he briefly joined the Saints. The Vikings wound later sign him to their practice squad during the 2012 season.

Banyard was on and off of the Vikings’ practice squad for much of his time in Minnesota. However, the Vikings ultimately elected to release him at the start of the regular season.

Jacksonville added him to their practice squad last season.

In 2015, Banyard appeared in five games for the Jaguars.
