Jaguars Designate WR Dede Westbrook To Return From Injured Reserve

The Jacksonville Jaguars have officially designated rookie WR Dede Westbrook to return from injured reserve on Monday.

This officially opens a three-week window of time for the Jaguars to add him to their active roster or he’ll spend the duration of the 2017 season on injured reserve.

Westbrook was placed on injured reserve coming out of the preseason following core muscle surgery.

Westbrook, 23, was selected with the No. 110 overall pick by the Jaguars in this year’s draft. According to OverTheCap.com, Westbrook signed a four-year contract worth $3,076,164, which includes a signing bonus of $676,164.

During his college career at Oklahoma, Westbrook caught 126 passes for 2,267 yards receiving and 21 touchdowns over the course of 26 games. He also contributed 244 kick return yards and 81 punt return yards to go along with one return touchdown.
