Jaguars Extend Second-Round Tender To RFAs Ryan Davis & Arby Jones

Ian Rapoport reports that the Jaguars extended a second-round tender to restricted free agent DE Ryan Davis on Friday.

  • Ryan O’Halloran adds that the Jaguars also gave a tender to RFA DL Arby Jones and ERFA TE Nic Jacobs.

The second-round tender will cost the Jaguars $2.553 million for the 2016 season and net them a second-round pick if he receives an offer sheet from another team, and they elect to pass on matching it.

Davis, 27, wound up signing on with the Jaguars as an undrafted free agent out of Bethune-Cookman back in 2012. He was on an off of their practice squad before making the 53-man roster in 2014.

Davis returned to the Jaguars on a one-year exclusive rights deal last year.

In 2015, Davis appeared in 14 games for the Jaguars and recorded 11 tackles, 3.5 sacks, a forced fumble, a recovery and a pass defense.
