Jaguars Fire Four Coaches Including RBs Coach Tyrone Wheatley

Tom Pelissero reports that the Jaguars have fired RBs coach Tyrone Wheatley on Monday, which probably isn’t a big surprise considering the issues they had at the position this year.

According to Alex Marvez, the Jaguars have also fired DBs coach Perry Fewell, OL coach Pat Flaherty and DL coach Marion Hobby.

Reports have said the Jaguars will likely undergo major coaching changes in terms of their offensive staff.

Jacksonville fired OC Nathaniel Hackett midseason, so you can expect the Jaguars to have new offensive direction in 2019.

Wheatley, 46, is a former first-round pick of the Giants back in 1995. He played 10 seasons in the NFL for the Giants and Raiders.

Wheatley got into coaching in 2007 and held positions at Ohio Northern, Eastern Michigan and Syracuse before the Bills hired him as their RBs coach in 2013. He later spent a few years at Michigan before joining the Jaguars in 2017.
