Jaguars Likely To Consider Trading CB Jalen Ramsey During Offseason?

Update:

The Jaguars have released a statement regarding the ESPN report that they could trade CB Jalen Ramsey next offseason.

“The Jaguars have zero intention of trading CB Jalen Ramsey. There is no truth to this rumor.

Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that the Jaguars are likely to consider trading CB Jalen Ramsey this offseason.

A league source tells Schefter that he “absolutely” believes the Jaguars will entertain the idea of trading Ramsey and an NFL general manager said he would not be surprised if that’s the route Jacksonville goes with their star cornerback.

According to Schefter, much of this is due to the recent tweet from Ramsey, who said last week: “When I’m gone, y’all gone miss me.”

Ramsey told reporters last week that he was addressing “fake fans” that haven’t stuck with the Jaguars and stressed that he wants “to play for one team my whole career.”

However, Ramsey’s behavior has caught the attention of his team after making headlines multiple times in recent years.

Ramsey is still under team control for another two years, assuming the Jaguars pick up his fifth-year option.
