Jaguars Sign CB Marcus Trufant, Release CB Antwaun Molden

Ryan O’Halloran reports that the Jaguars have signed CB Marcus Trufant and released CB Antwaun Molden.

John Oesher reports earlier in the day that Trufant was visiting with the Jaguars on Tuesday, but it’s at least somewhat surprising to see a deal come together so quickly.

Trufant, 32, was with the Seahawks last year and played for Jaguars new head coach Gus Bradley, so it makes sense that they would at least consider the idea adding some extra depth and veteran leadership to their secondary. Despite playing a limited role last season, Trufant was rated as an above-average corner by Pro Football Focus.
