Jaguars In The Mix For Calais Campbell, Kevin Zeitler, A.J. Bouye & Barry Church

According to Ian Rapoport, the Jaguars appear to be in the mix for some of the most notable free agents in this year’s market including G Kevin Zeitler, CB A.J. Bouye, DL Calais Campbell and S Barry Church among others.

Yesterday, Rapoport reported that the Jaguars are “the team to watch” in regards to free agent DL Calais Campbell.

“Keep an eye on the Jacksonville Jaguars here,” Rapoport said. “They do have a lot of money invested in that position. Of course, last year with Malik Jackson, similar player, similar position, but I am told they are the team to watch here as far as where Calais Campbell may end up.

Jacksonville is clearly in win-now mode after multiple disappointing seasons under Gus Bradley. They also have the money to spend, so it wouldn’t be surprising to see them land a few of these players in the coming days.

Campbell, 30, is a former second-round pick of the Cardinals back in 2008. He played out the final year of his five-year, $55 million contract that included $17 million guaranteed and will be an unrestricted free agent this offseason.

In 2016, Campbell appeared in all 16 games for the Cardinals and recorded 53 tackles, eight sacks, an interception, three fumble recoveries with one being returned for a touchdown, two forced fumbles, six pass defenses and a safety. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 2 interior defensive lineman out of 127 qualifying players.

We have all of them featured in our Top 100 – 2017 Free Agents list.
