Jaguars’ New GM: “Can’t Imagine A Scenario” Where Tim Tebow Would Be On Their Roster

Jacksonville Jaguars new GM David Caldwell told reporters that he “can’t imagine a scenario” where Tim Tebow would be on their roster next season.

“He is a member of the New York Jets,” said Caldwell. “I can’t imagine a situation where he’s a Jacksonville Jaguar … even if he’s released.

Tebow has linked to the Jaguars for years now and owner Shad Khan was reportedly willing to give him a shot at competing for a job next season.

ESPN’s Chris Mortensen reported a few weeks ago that it’s “a virtual certainty” that Tebow would be playing for the Jaguars next year, which seems a little premature in hindsight given that they were likely to replace GM Gene Smith.

At this point in time, there doesn’t appear to be any interest in signing Tebow even if he were to become available. NFL teams may ask him to move to another position if he wants to continue playing football in the league.
