Jaguars Not Expected To Have RB Leonard Fournette In Week 7

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that Jaguars RB Leonard Fournette is not expected to plan against the Colts on Sunday.

Fournette has been dealing with an ankle injury and by missing Week 7’s game, he will have had two weeks off to heal up, given that Jacksonville is on a bye next week.

This means that the Jaguars will likely turn to Chris Ivory to handle a good portion of their rushing attack on Sunday.

Fournette, 22, was taken with the No. 4 overall pick by the Jaguars back in April. He signed a four-year, $27.15 million contract that’s fully guaranteed and stands to make base salaries of $465,000 and $1.69 million over the next two years of the agreement.

In 2017, Fournette has appeared in six games and rushed for 596 yards on 130 carries (4.6 YPC) to go along with 15 receptions for 136 yards receiving and seven total touchdowns.
