Jaguars Place LB Paul Posluszny On Season-Ending Injured Reserve

Jaguars LB Paul Posluszny suffered torn pectoral during Sunday’s win over the Browns that will require surgery. according to ESPN’s Michael DiRocco.

  • DiRocco adds that the Jaguars will place Posluszny on season-ending injured reserve.

Posluszny, 30, is in the fourth year of his six-year, $42 million contract that includes $15 million guaranteed. He’ll make $7.45 million annually over the final two years of his current deal.

There is a chance that the Jaguars could move on from Posluszny next year or approach him about accepting a pay cut.

Posluszny’s 2014 season ends with him recording 69 tackles, two sacks and a fumble recovery over the course of seven games.
