Mark Long reports that the Jacksonville Jaguars have placed QB Blaine Gabbert and WR Laurent Robinson on season-ending injured reserve.
There has been plenty of speculation that Chad Henne would takeover as the team’s starting quarterback after he was able to throw for 4 touchdowns against a very solid Texans’ defense.
Gabbert suffered a forearm injury last week and is expected to undergo surgery on his shoulder at some point in the future. Even if he was healthy, the Jaguars were almost forced to start Henne. Robinson was Jacksonville’s big offseason acquisition, but has been very disappointing this year and recently suffered a concussion.
Jacksonville signed QB Jordan Palmer and WR Carlton Mitchell.
