Jaguars Place WR Arrelious Benn On Season-Ending I.R. & Sign Two

The Jaguars announced a serious of roster moves on Monday including placing WR Arrelious Benn on season-ending injured reserve and signing LB Mister Alexander and Will Corbin to contracts.

Benn, 26, is a former second-round pick of the Buccaneers back in 2010. He spent three years in Tampa Bay before he was traded to the Eagles in return for a 2013 sixth-round pick and a 2014 conditional selection.

Unfortunately, Benn was later released with an injury settlement after he unfortunately suffered a torn ACL in 2013. The Jaguars wound up signing him to a future/reserve contract in December of last year.

He last appeared in an NFL game during the 2012 season while playing for the Buccaneers.

Alexander, 26, originally signed on with the Houston Texans as an undrafted free agent out of Florida State back in 2011.

He spent the first two and half years with the Texans before he later caught on with the Buccaneers. Not long after that, Alexander signed on to the Cowboys’ practice squad in December of last year and later agreed to a future/reserve contract in January.

Seattle signed to a contract in early March following his release by the Cowboys, but released him a few months ago.

Alexander last appeared in an NFL game during the 2012 season while playing for the Texans. That year, he recorded five tackles over the course of six games.
