Jaguars Placing TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins On IR, Candidate To Return

Jaguars HC Doug Marrone announced Monday that TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins is going to be placed on injured reserve, but he’s a candidate to return later on in the year.

Seferian-Jenkins, 26, is a former second-round pick of the Buccaneers back in 2014. The Buccaneers elected to move on from Seferian-Jenkins a few years ago after he was arrested for driving under the influence and he was later claimed off of waivers from the Jets.

Seferian-Jenkins played out the final year of his four-year, $5.254 million contract before agreeing to a two-year, $10 million contract that includes $4 million guaranteed with the Dolphins this past March.

In 2018, Seferian-Jenkins has appeared in five games for the Jaguars and caught 11 passes for 90 yards receiving and one touchdown.
