Jaguars QB Blake Bortles Likely To Start At Some Point This Season?

Michael DiRocco of ESPN believes that Jaguars first-round pick QB Blake Bortles will start at some point this season despite reports the Jaguars do not want him to start this season.

DiRocco mentions that should Bortles be able to fix “the lower-body issues that are preventing him from throwing the ball as hard and accurately as he can, and makes the transition from the spread offense, then he’ll get on the field” which DiRocco could see “happening by December.

While this is purely speculation on the part of DiRocco, it does make sense for the Jaguars to see what they have in Bortles before heading into the offseason and to give him an idea of what game action is actually like.
