Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that Jaguars RB Chris Ivory has officially been released from the hospital and is doing well. However, there’s currently no timetable set for return.

Beyond that, Ivory’s status for Week 2 remains questionable.

Tom Pelissero reports that Jaguars RB Chris Ivory is still undergoing tests in hospital, but will hopefully be released in next day or two. However, Pelissero says that his status for Week 2’s game remains “up in air.

  • According to ESPN’s Ed Werder, the Jaguars have not determined Ivory’s status for Sunday’s game, but they’re also unlikely to sign another running back to their roster in his absence.

———-

Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that Jaguars RB Chris Ivory remains hospitalized and is still in pain after he was a surprising inactive this past weekend.

According to Schefter, Ivory is still undergoing tests and his status remains uncertain until doctors have concluded tests.

Yesterday, reports mentioned that Ivory was taken to the hospital due to a “general medical issue.” However, there haven’t been a lot of details regarding his situation and what led to him being hospitalized.

The Jaguars went with T.J. Yeldon against the Packers, but it appears as though they could be without Ivory again in Week 2.

Ivory, 28, signed a five-year, $32 million contract that included $10 million guaranteed with the Jaguars back in March. He stands to make a base salary of $2 million for the 2016 season.

In 2015, Ivory appeared in 15 games for the Jets and ran for 1,070 yards on 247 carries (4.3 YPC) to go along with 30 receptions for 217 yards receiving and eight total touchdowns.

We’ll have more regarding Ivory and his condition as the news is available.
