Jaguars Placing RB Corey Grant On Injured Reserve

Update:

The Jaguars are placing RB Corey Grant on injured reserve with a season-ending Lisfranc injury, per Adam Schefter.

Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that the Jaguars believe RB Corey Grant suffered a Lisfranc injury that is likely to end his season.

Jacksonville is already without RB Leonard Fournette, who has a hamstring injury, so it’s possible they could be in the market for some running back help in the coming days.

You can expect the Jaguars to place him on injured reserve in the coming days and add someone to their roster.

Grant, 26, wound up signing on with the Jaguars as an undrafted free agent out of Auburn back in 2015. He has managed to make the 53-man roster in each of his first three years in the NFL and returned to the Jaguars this offseason on a second-round restricted tender worth $2.914 million for the 2018 season.

Grant will be an unrestricted free agent in 2019.

Entering today’s game, Grant has rushed for 32 yards on 12 carries (2.7 YPC) to go along with nine receptions for 67 yards receiving and no touchdowns.
