Jaguars RB Leonard Fournette Ruled Out For Week 15

Chris Mortensen reports that Jaguars RB Leonard Fournette has been ruled out for the team’s Week 15 game against the Texans.

  • Ian Rapoport confirms the news and adds that Fournette will return next week.

Fournette’s status for Sunday’s game has been questionable all week, given that he sat out of practice with a quad injury on top of his prior ankle issues, so this shouldn’t come as a big surprise.

Jacksonville will move forward with Chris Ivory and T.J. Yeldon for tomorrow’s game against Houston.

Fournette, 22, was taken with the No. 4 overall pick by the Jaguars back in April. He signed a four-year, $27.15 million contract that’s fully guaranteed and stands to make base salaries of $465,000 and $1.69 million over the next two years of the agreement.

In 2017, Fournette has appeared in 11 games and rushed for 923 yards on 231 carries (4 YPC) to go along with 29 receptions for 213 yards receiving and nine total touchdowns.
