Jaguars Release S Sergio Brown

The Jacksonville Jaguars announced Monday that they’ve released S Sergio Brown.

Brown, 27, was in the second year of his three-year, $7 million contract that included $1 million guaranteed. He was set to make base salaries of $2.25 million over final two years of the agreement.

According to OverTheCap.com, releasing Brown will free up $2,250,000 in available cap space while creating no dead money.

In 2015, Brown appeared in 15 games for the Jaguars and recorded 37 tackles, 1.5 sacks, no interceptions and two pass defenses.
