Update:

Michael DiRocco is reporting that the Jaguars have officially released CB Davon House on Monday.

Adam Caplan of ESPN is reporting that the Jaguars will be releasing veteran CB Davon House at some point in the near future.

Last we heard regarding House, Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reported that the Jaguars had him on the trading block right now, but were prepared to release him if they weren’t able to find a trade partner.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see the Packers show some interest in House, considering their need for help at cornerback and his prior experience with the team.

House, 27, is a former fourth-round pick of the Packers back in 2011. He spent four years in Green Bay before signing a four-year, $24.5 million contract that included $10 million guaranteed with the Jaguars back in 2015.

House was set to make base salaries of $6 million over the final two years of the agreement.

According to OverTheCap.com, releasing House will free up $6 million of available cap space while creating no dead money.

In 2016, House appeared in all 16 games for the Jaguars and recorded 17 tackles and no sacks or interceptions. Pro Football Focus rates House as a below-average cornerback last year while playing 272 snaps for the Jaguars.
