Jaguars Sign CB Will Blackmon, Waive CB Marcus Burley

Mark Long of the Associated Press reports that the Jaguars have signed veteran CB Will Blackmon.

  • Long adds that Jacksonville waived rookie CB Marcus Burley to make room for Blackman.

Blackmon was released by the Seahwaks on Tuesday. He has been out of the league in 2012, so the Seahawks actually helped him back in the league. It’s also worth noting that Jaguars new HC Gus Bradley was Seattle’s defensive coordinator last year, so it’s not surprising to see him target some of the Seahawks recent cuts.

Jacksonville could really use some additional help at cornerback, so it will be interesting to see what kind of role Blackman can carve out for himself this season.
