Jaguars Sign DE Ziggy Hood

  • Ryan O’Halloran first reported that the Jacksonville Jaguars have agreed to terms with former Steelers DT Ziggy Hood.

Hood, 27, was taken in the first-round of the 2009 NFL Draft by the Steelers and spent the past five years in Pittsburgh.

He has yet to develop into a well rounded player, but has flashed some ability at times. It seems he could be in need of a change of scenery.

Last year, he appeared in all 16 games for the Steelers and totaled 39 tackles, three sacks, and a fumble recovery. Pro Football Focus had Hood rated as the No. 31 defensive end in a 3-4 system last year out of 34 qualifying players.
