The Jacksonville Jaguars announced Friday that they’ve signed third-round DE Dawuane Smoot to a four-year rookie contract.
Smoot, 22, was selected with the No. 68 overall pick by the Jaguars. According to OverTheCap.com, Smoot will receive a four-year contract worth $3,364,160, which includes a signing bonus of $964,160.
During his three-year college career at Illinois, Smoot recorded 136 total tackles, 38.5 tackles for loss, 15.5 sacks, five pass defenses, two fumble recoveries, and four forced fumbles.
