The Jaguars announced the signing of rookie free agent WR Brandon Wimberly on Monday.
- Jacksonville released OT DeMarcus Love to make room for Wimberly.
Wimberly actually worked out for the team during their rookie minicamp a few weeks after the draft. He offers great size a 6-foot-3 and 225 pounds.
During his final year at Nevada, Wimberly totaled 97 passes for 989 yards and eight touchdowns.
Some of the team’s receivers have dealt with some small injuries to start offseason workouts, but Wimberly will have to be pretty impressive to make their 53-man roster.
