Jaguars Signing RB David Williams Off Broncos’ PS

Ryan O’Halloran reports that the Jaguars are expected to sign RB David Williams off of the Broncos’ practice squad.

The Jaguars lost RB Corey Grant for the seasons and Leonard Fournette is dealing with a hamstring injury, so it’s not surprising to see them bring in some running back help.

Williams, 24, was selected with the seventh-round of this year’s draft by the Broncos. He agreed to a four-year, $2,553,980 contract with the Broncos that included a $93,980 signing bonus.

However, the Broncos waived him coming out of the preseason and later signed him to their practice squad.

During his college career, Williams rushed for 1,450 yards on 304 carries (4.8 YPC) to go along with 37 receptions for 435 yards receiving and 15 total touchdowns over the course of four seasons and 41 games.
