Jaguars Signing RB Jonas Gray Off Dolphins’ Practice Squad, Waive WR Rashad Lawrence

Update:

The Jacksonville Jaguars announced the signing RB Jonas Gray from the Dolphins’ practice squad along with the release of WR Rashad Lawrence.

Lawrence, 23, wound up signing on with the Redskins as an undrafted free agent out of Northwestern back in May of last year. He was waived at the start of the season and later signed a future/reserve contract with the Bears.

Chicago elected to release him coming out of the preseason, but he managed to catch on with the Jaguars.

Lawrence has yet to appear in an NFL game.

The Jaguars are signing RB Jonas Gray off of the Dolphins practice squad on Tuesday, according to his agent Sean Stellato (via Adam Schefter).

Gray, 25, was waived by the Patriots this last weekend, as they cut their roster down to 53 players. The Dolphins wound up signing him to a contract back in September before promoting him to their active roster soon after.

However, he was waived and later re-signing to their practice squad back in November.

This season, Gray has appeared in six games and ran for 122 yards on 31 carries (3.9 YPC) to go along with six receptions for 72 yards receiving.
