Jaguars To Sign DT Jared Odrick

Ian Rapoport reports that the Jaguars have reached an agreement with DT Jared Odrick on a deal that will pay him $7 million per season.

Recent reports had said that the Jaguars were the team to watch for Odrick now that they missed out on DT Ndamukong Suh.

Odrick, 27, played out his five-year, $13,071,939 contract with the Dolphins that included $7.134 million guaranteed and is now in position to be on of the best available interior defensive linemen in this year’s market.

In 2014, Odrick recorded 29 tackles, one sack, a forced fumble, a recovery and five pass defenses over the course of 16 games.

Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 19 defensive tackle out of 81 qualifying players. On top of that, Odrick graded out as a very solid interior pass-rusher, which could help his chances of securing a very respectable contract this offseason.

We have Odrick listed as the No. 17 player in our Top 100 Free Agents list.
