Jaguars Signing LB Dan Skuta To A Five-Year, $20.5M Deal

ESPN’s Adam Caplan reports that the Jaguars are expected to sign LB Dan Skuta to a contract once free agent opens tomorrow.

  • Matt Maiocco of CSN Bay Area reports that Skuta will receive a five-year, $20.5 million contract from the Jaguars.
  • According to Caplan, Skuta had a ton of interest and had the Eagles not re-signed Brandon Graham, they could have added him.

Skuta, 28, originally signed on with the Bengals as an undrafted free agent out of Grand Valley State back in 2009.

He spent the first five years of his career in Cincinnati before he joined the 49ers as an unrestricted free agent in 2013.

Last year, Skuta appeared in 14 games and recorded 33 tackles, five sacks, three forced fumbles and a pass defense. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 29 outside linebacker out of 46 qualifying players.
