Field Yates of ESPN reports that the Jaguars brought in former 49ers RB Kendall Hunter for a tryout on Friday.
Hunter, 27, is a former fourth-round pick of the 49ers back in 2011. He wound up signing a one-year, $870,000 contract extension with the 49ers in November of last year, but was released from injured reserve with a settlement a few weeks into the season.
Unfortunately, Hunter missed the entire 2014 season after tearing his ACL.
This is the first reported interest in Hunter since he became available back in September.
In 2013, Hunter appeared in all 16 games for the 49ers and ran for 358 yards on 78 carries (4.6 YPC) and three touchdowns.
