Jaguars Waive CB Josh Johnson From Injured Reserve

The Jacksonville Jaguars have waived CB Josh Johnson from injured reserve on Tuesday, according to Mike Kaye.

Johnson, 25, wound up signing on with the Chargers as an undrafted free agent out of Purdue back in 2013. However, he lasted just a few months in San Diego before he was released at the start of the 2013 season.

Johnson later signed on with the BC Lions of the CFL in 2014 before joining the Jaguars in February of last year. Jacksonville waived Johnson with an injury designation back in August and he later reverted to the team’s injured reserve list.

In 2016, Johnson appeared in eight games and recorded nine tackles, a half sack and a pass defense.
