Jaguars Waive/Injured OL Sean Hickey, Sign OL Tony Adams

The Jacksonville Jaguars announced Monday that they’ve signed rookie OL Tony Adams to their active roster and waived OL Sean Hickey with an injury designation.

Should Hickey clear waivers tomorrow, he would revert to the Jaguars’ injured serve list.

Hickey, 26, originally signed on with the Saints as an undrafted free agent out of Syracuse back in 2015. He was waived coming out of the preseason and later signed to the Saints’ practice squad.

Since then, Hickey had brief stints with the Patriots, Jets and Vikings before catching on with the Dolphins during the preseason last year and spending time on their taxi squad. Miami elected to bring Hickey back on a futures contract this past January, but he was, unfortunately, cut loose a few months ago.

Hickey signed a contract with the Jaguars sooner after.

Hickey has yet to appear in an NFL game.
