Jaguars Waive QB Brandon Allen

Mark Long is reporting that the Jaguars have waived QB Brandon Allen on Sunday.

Allen, 24, is a former sixth-round pick out of Arkansas by the Jaguars in the 2016 NFL Draft. He was entering the second year of a four-year, $2.4 million rookie contract and was set to make a base salary of $540,000 this season.

During his four-year college career, Allen recorded 583 completions on 1,016 pass attempts (57.4 percent) for 7,463 yards, 64 touchdowns, and 26 interceptions.
