Jaguars Waive S Craig Loston, CB Rashaad Reynolds, & DE Quanterus Smith

The Jacksonville Jaguars announced that they’ve placed three players on waivers Thursday including S Craig Loston, CB Rashaad Reynolds, and DE Quanterus Smith.

Loston, 26, signed on with the Jaguars as an undrafted free agent out of LSU back in 2014. He’s been on and off of their practice squad since entering the NFL.

Loston is in the final year of his contract and stands to make a base salary of $600,000 for the 2016 season.

In 2015, Loston appeared in six games for the Jaguars, but didn’t record a single statistic.

Smith, 25, is a former fifth-round pick of the Broncos back in 2013 out of Western Kentucky. He was unfortunately cut loose by the Broncos with a failed physical designation days before this year’s NFL Draft.

The Jets signed him to their practice squad towards the end of last season, but he was waived after a short stint with the team. Smith wound up signing a future/reserve contract with the Jaguars back in January.

In 2014, Smith appeared in 15 games for the Broncos, but recorded just 11 tackles and two pass defenses. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 51 defensive end in a 4-3 system out of 59 qualifying players.
