Jaguars Worked Out 4 Players Including WR Paul Turner

According to Howard Balzer, the Jacksonville Jaguars brought in four free agents for workouts on Wednesday including WR Devin Lucien, WR Paul Turner, WR DeAndrew White, QB Marcus McDade.

Turner, 24, wound up signing a three-year, $1.66 million contract with the Eagles as an undrafted free agent out of Louisiana Tech back in May of last years. He was on and off of the Eagles’ practice squad last year but was waived coming out of the preseason a few months ago and later cut loose from injured reserve with a settlement.

During his college career, Turner caught 87 passes for 1,171 yards receiving and seven touchdowns for Louisana Tech over the course of 23 games.

Lucien, 24, is a former seventh-round pick by the Patriots out of Arizona State in the 2016 NFL Draft. He was in the first year of a four-year rookie contract when the Patriots decided to waive him and sign him to their practice squad.

New England re-signed him to a futures contract back in February but was eventually waived with an injury settlement. Lucien had a brief stint on the Colts’ practice squad last month.

During his four-year college career, Lucien recorded 124 receptions for 1,826 yards receiving (14.7 YPC) and 12 touchdowns.
