Jaguars Worked Out QB Robert Griffin III Before He Signed With Ravens

Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, citing a source with knowledge of the situation, reports that the Jaguars worked out QB Robert Griffin III on Monday, which came three days after his workout for the Ravens.

According to Ryan O’Halloran, the Jaguars did not offer Griffin a contract following the session.

Ultimately, the Ravens agreed to a one-year, $1 million contract with Griffin earlier this week.

Griffin, 28, is a former first-round pick of the Redskins back in 2012. He spent four years in Washington before signing a two-year, $15 million contract that includes $6.75 million guaranteed with the Browns back in 2016.

RGIII was set to make a base salary of $6 million for the 2017 season when the Browns released him last year.

In 2016, Griffin appeared in five games thrown for 886 yards while completing 59.2 percent his passes to go along with two touchdowns and three interceptions. He’s also added 190 yards rushing and two touchdowns for the Browns.
