Jaguars Working Out QBs Bortles, Carr, Manziel, Bridgewater & Garoppolo This Week

Update:

ESPN’s Ed Werder reports that UCF QB Blake Bortles will also be visiting with the Jaguars later in the week.

It seemed strange that Bortles wasn’t among the quarterback prospects working out for Jacksonville on Wednesday, but it appears as though this was due to a scheduling issue of sorts.

For what it’s worth, we have the Jaguars selecting Buffalo LB Khalil Mack in round one and then grabbing Garappolo in the second round of our most recent 2014 NFL Mock Draft.

——–

Michael DiRocco of ESPN.com reported Monday that the Jaguars were bringing in Fresno State QB Derek Carr for a visit on Wednesday.

Since then, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the Jaguars will also be working out QBs Johnny Manziel, Teddy Bridgewater and Jimmy Garoppolo on Wednesday as well.

There is no question that the Jaguars will be targeting a quarterback at some point in the draft. However, it’s hard to say whether or not they will be willing to take one at No. 3 overall given that there could be better value at a different position.
