Jaguars Signing CB D.J. Hayden To Three-Year, $19M Deal

According to Adam Caplan, the Jaguars are signing Lions free agent CB D.J. Hayden to a three-year, $19 million contract with $9.5 million guaranteed. The contract can be worth up to $21 million.

  • Ryan O’Halloran reported yesterday that the Jaguars were working on a deal with Hayden.

Hayden, 27, was taken with the No. 12 overall pick back in 2013. The Raiders declined to pick up his fifth-year option, which left him as an unrestricted free agent last year.

After concluding his four-year rookie contract with the Raiders, he signed a one-year deal worth up to $5.25 million with the Lions.

In 2017, Hayden appeared in all 16 games for Detroit and recorded 44 total tackles, 0.5 sack, two fumble recoveries, scored one defensive touchdown and had nine pass defenses. Pro Football Focus rated him as the No. 96 overall cornerback out of 121 qualifying players.
